Welcome to the first of its kind luxury wellness event in the UK for discerning, midlife black women called Soft Life Sundays. 

An intimate wellness day where black women can escape the noise of daily life, toil, stress and be ensconced in calm, softness, and luxury.

    I started to jump rope in February 2021 - I realised not long after that I had to wear a pad as I would leak from the jumping. I came across a room on Clubhouse, where Thelma was talking all things menopause, peri-menopause and pelvic floor dysfunction. She told me to stop jumping rope for now and advised I work on my pelvic floor. I started a 12 week course with her, where I was given a series of exercises and nutritional advice . By week 11, eager to see my progress, I picked up my rope and did a short session pad free. To my amazement, not a single drop (leak) in sight where previously I would definitely have leaked. Thank you Thelma. You are a legend!

    #FoodIsHealing. I understood that my postnatal journey was always going to be a marathon and not a sprint. My happiness, confidence and health was all restored without the need for super high-impact exercises and/or silly sit ups that can be detrimental to postnatal mums.

    I have been through five rounds of IVF. Four of those all completely starting a fresh. I had to stop and take stock of what was going on with my body. Thelma didn’t bombard me with meal plans and exercise plans. She gave me options. Now I realise I had to navigate MYSELF out of this mess but I has someone to GUIDE me and hold me accountable. This wasn’t about going on a diet it was changing the way I think about my body from the inside out and changing my mindset - which is still a work in progress. I will still make mistakes but I will only move forwards not backwards.

    Thelma specialises in ladies and babies! I worked with her post two c-sections (one emergency, one planned). Felt like I’d been hit by a truck after both but got there! She is an utter beaut of a human being and has worked with a lot of mums in the Wapping, London area.
